Frequently Asked Questions

+ What is Gloss?

Gloss is a discrete beauty studio off the coast of Hong Kong that specializes in male-to-female transformations. Customers arrive dressed normally and leave dressed normally; the transformation only lasts as long as they are within our building. Whilst the majority of our customers are Westerners and Mainland Chinese visiting Hong Kong primarily for business, Gloss accepts any human regardless of gender, orientation, ethnicity, age, religion, etc. Everyone is welcome.

We provide a unique experience in a judgment-free setting. Clients from all over the world come to us to find peace, feel empathy from within, and get in touch with their feminine side. We offer individual sessions by appointment where the client is welcomed, dressed en femme by our lovely staff, and given some time to indulge in their new persona as they please. Our clients learn and grow from an experience that they won’t find anywhere else in Asia. We are a personal care services company and intend for our services to provide an emotionally educational function.

+ When is Gloss open?

Our schedule is flexible, but we prefer to make appointments between 10am-8pm Monday through Saturday. Sundays are okay too but not preferred.

+ Can you come dress me up in my hotel?

Yes! Gloss Express is our new service in which we come to your hotel to dress you up in private. Find the 'Gloss Express' button on the Services page. We will still need at least 2 days in advance to arrange this outing.

+ I'm going for more of a drag look. Can you do that?

Our beauticians have plenty of experience with doing drag looks and can handle any type of look you're going for. Bring in a photo if you'd like. From conservative to dramatic, we can do it all!

+ Can we go outside while I'm dressed up?

We’re sorry, but at this time we cannot let you go outside the Gloss building while dressed up. However this is to protect you, the customer. By not allowing our clients to leave the building while dressed, the neighbors don’t know the nature of our business. They have no idea who you are or why you’re coming to our studio (disguised as just another apartment in the neighborhood), and we intend to keep it that way. Complete and total discretion is our main goal.

+ How can I be sure that my confidentiality is maintained?

If you would like, we could use your personal phone/camera to take photos so you can be absolutely sure that no one else has them. We understand that you don’t want anyone else to have access to these private photos.

+ How many days in advance should I make my booking?

We request that you make your booking at least 2 days in advance. We do not accept same-day bookings.

+ Do I need to submit a deposit for the session?

Yes. Once we confirm and day and time, I will send a PayPal invoice via email to reserve your appointment. The deposit will be half of the session cost. You also have the option to pay in full through the link if it's easier for you than paying in cash in person.

+ What will the deposit be billed as on my card statement?

To maintain the utmost discretion, the deposit will be billed through PayPal by Little Knife Limited and appear on your card statement as 'LK LIMITED'.

+ I'm so nervous. What if I'm too quiet or awkward?

Don't worry, we get it! We've been part of the crossdressing scene for years before Gloss was around and understand how society views this way of life. We're experienced in calming people down with vibes/music/jokes and are ready to take on the challange. We never judge you; we're very open-minded.

+ How should I prepare for the session?

Shave your face for the best results! It is not completely necessary that you shave your legs too, as we have leggings/tights that will hide hair. Make sure that you are clean, fresh, and ready to be feminized.

+ Can you dominate me?

Sorry but we are not dominatrixes. We are beauticians looking to provide you with a specific experience you won't find elsewhere in HK. While we're catering to the 'forced feminization' fantasy, we leave the sexual aspect out of our services. We are a legitimate legally registered company in HK and intend to keep it that way. Thank you for understanding.

+ Can Scarlett be present for my makeover?

Yes she can. You need to request her presense specifically and it will cost an extra HKD$500 per hour, but she'd be glad to help dress you up. However, our beauticians do an outstanding job!

+ Can I bring my own clothes/shoes/wig with me?

Absolutely! Whatever you'd like to wear and/or be photographed in, feel free to bring it.
